Why are we trying to reduce water usage? Fresh water is not an infinite resource in the Vaucroft community. If residents are not conservative, it is possible that the Vaucroft District could experience a shortage of fresh water. If Vaucroft does reach the end of its fresh water supply, it will break the salt and fresh water barrier and destroy the well.  Water meters and water usage reports can make residents more aware of water usage and allow them to alter their habits.
